Terms & Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made on this website. We kindly ask that you take a moment to read them prior to making a Booking.


In these Terms and Conditions the following definitions apply:

1. Definitions

“Resort” or “we” means Hof Gorei Beach Resort whose registered address is at Tambang, Adecor, Kaputian, Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte, Philippines.

“Booking” means the booking for accommodation and/or any other services or items made with us.

“Reservation Voucher” means is contract form which will be given to the guest(s) once they made the reservation containing their reservation details (i.e Guest Name, Travel Date and Preferred Room) which is subject to the Resort’s Terms and Condition.

“Resort” means the premises for which your Booking is made.

“Terms” means these terms and conditions.

“Websites” means www.hofgoreiresortdavao.com.

“VAT” means value added tax.

2. Bookings

All Bookings at the Hotel are subject to these Terms.

At the time of booking, we will take your credit/debit card details and you authorize the use of this card for any sums that become owing to us.  We shall also have the right to require full payment in advance or a deposit at the time of booking in certain circumstances or if the Booking includes the supply of certain items or services.  No Booking shall be treated as confirmed until the details and/or payment/deposit described in this paragraph have been provided.

3. Charges

3.1 Room Charge

The prices displayed on the Website are regular room rate quoted as per night which includes VAT (Value Added Tax). A full payment is required to secure your reservations; other conditions may apply to certain rates, as specified.  Once a rate is selected on the Website, the total for your requested stay shall be displayed on the booking summary.  Prices shall be charged in the local currency of the Hotel.

3.2 Extra Person Charge

In excess to the regular room capacity (depends on the room types) extra person will be charge accordingly with Php 1,850.00 per extra person per night. Extra person may not be allowed in certain room (i.e Hillside Round Hut, Buddy Chamber and Others).

Other rooms can only accommodate certain numbers of Extra Persons. Adding additional room may be required and is subject to room availability.

Extra Mattress will be provided for the Extra Person.

3.3 Value Added Tax

Regular room rate and extra person rate are subject to Value Added Tax (at 12%) which is included in the room rate and extra person rate.

4. Check-in/ Check-out Requirements

4.1 Check in

In the interests of security and to prevent fraud, at the time of check-in, guests is required to confirm their identity by providing their reservation vouchera valid Government ID with Picture and Signature and the credit or debit card used when making the reservation and the card holder.

These records will be kept for at least 12 months and may be disclosed or made available for inspection by any police officer or as otherwise required by applicable law in connection with the prevention or investigation of crime.  

The information above may be requested for each member of your party over the age of 16 and we reserve the right to refuse entry to persons who cannot provide the information set out above.

Unless otherwise stated on the reservation voucher, early check in request is subject to room availability at the time of arrival. Otherwise the regular check in time of 2:00PM will be observed. 

4.2 Check out

On the day of departure we kindly ask all guests to vacate their rooms by 12.00 noon (unless a later departure is stated as part of your Booking).  Late check-out after this time can be requested subject to availability and will be charged at an hourly rate at the discretion of the Hotel.

Rooms are subject to maximum occupancy rules set by the Hotel. If you would like further details please contact the Hotel.

5. Free boat transfer

Resort offers free boat transfer but with scheduled departure (see below). Guest with reservation is advised to contact the property via email or call (at least 2 days prior to arrival date) with their preferred boat schedule for listing and reservation of seats. Resort has the right to refuse guest(s) who’s not listed in the pickup note to aboard the boat.

6. Payment

We accept the following methods of payment:

CREDIT CARDS: Mastercard, Visa, Union Pay, American Express, 


The Credit Card you booked with must be presented on arrival, along with the appropriate ID. At the time of check-in we will require the actual presence of the credit card used when making a reservation, valid ID and the credit card owner.

 For guest who wishes to booking without credit card, please contact the resort directly for direct reservation via cash deposit.

 7. Cancellation Policy and No Shows

We require full prepayment for the entire stay at the time of the Booking. The reservation is non-refundable and non-changeable.  Full payment is charged to the credit/debit card supplied at the time of the Booking.   Cancellation or no-show will result in the forfeiture of the Full Payment.

8. Changes or Cancellation by the Company

Very occasionally we may need to cancel your Booking.  In such circumstances you will be given a full refund but we shall have no further liability to you arising out of such cancellation.  We will, however, use reasonable endeavors to try and re-locate any confirmed bookings that were cancelled by us to an alternative room available.

9. Damage

We reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the Hotel during your stay (including without limitation to any losses and breakage).

10. Accessibility

The Hotel is not accessible by land. See boat transfer for the most convenient mode of transfer going to the property.

Guest with prior reservation are advised to contact the Hotel directly for the boat transfer schedule at least two (2) days before the arrival date. See contact information section.

11. Outside Food and Beverages

Bringing of food and beverages are strictly not allowed to avoid high corkage charge.

12. Parking

Guest with vehicle can park at inside Sta. Ana Pier, Davao City where the boat going to the property is stationed. Parking availability and charges may apply depending on the Port Authority – the agency who maintains the Pier.

13. Hotel Events

Please be aware that at certain times throughout the year some of our hotels may host weddings, events and parties, which you may feel would be an intrusion on your break.  Please contact the Hotel directly in advance of your stay for further information.

14. Guest Behavior

Guests are requested to conduct themselves appropriately at all times and to comply with Company procedures and/or requests with regard to conduct and respect for the property of the Hotel, its employees and guests and their health and safety.  Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, the smooth running of the Hotel, or cause offence to other guests or our members of staff.  We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from the Hotel if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached. Where this is the case shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.

15. No Smoking

Guests are not permitted to smoke in rooms. Ask guidance from your Personal Butler where to find the designated smoking area of the property.

16. Children Policy

16.1 Five (5) years old and below

All children under five (5) years of age) staying at the Hotel must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Children age 5 years old and below will be sharing bed with parent and free of accommodation. An additional of Php 300.00 per child will be charge for boat transfer.

16.2 Six (6) years old and above

All children, ages six (6) years old and above will be treated as adult and will be charge with adult rate or extra person rate.

Extra Person is at Php 1,850.00 per person per night will be provided with extra mattress and free breakfast. See extra person for more details.

17. Babysitting

A babysitting service is available with the help of your Personal Butler. We recommend that arrangements are made in advance to avoid disappointment.

18. Pets

Pets are welcome to the premises. Owner must make sure that the pet is on leash at all times and must not be left unattended in the room.

19. Force Majeure

The Resort accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, water, or other utility service, machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures. 

20. Limitation of Liability 

The Resort will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, goodwill or opportunity (whether caused by the negligence of the Company, its employees, contractor or agents or otherwise).

Nothing contained in the Contract or in any other document referred to or incorporated in it shall be read or construed as excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by the Company’s negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

21. Web Site Information

While all reasonable efforts have been taken to ensure the accuracy of information on the Websites, the Resort does not accept responsibility for errors or omissions and reserve the right to amend, cancel or vary any of the arrangements featured on the Websites without notice. Please note that in certain circumstances, generic photographic images have been used to represent the resort’s amenities and facilities. 

The content of the Websites is the copyright of the Resort and may not be copied, reproduced, published, distributed or amended for any other purpose without our prior written consent. 

Trademarks used on the Websites are the property of the owner. Hyperlinks to third party websites are provided for your convenience. We cannot accept responsibility for the content or use of third party sites.
